Step 2 P-TexnbspP-Tex used when those nasty spring rocks or jibs tear through the base of your board and the inners come spilling out making a right mess, somewhat like a scene from Apocalypse now.nbspWell that may well be a huge over reaction but you get the idea. First youre going to need a few simple toolsP-tex stickLighter or turbo flameScraperLittle bit of sandpaperKnifenbspUsing the knife, remove all the bits of base petruding from the area in question, be careful here as its hard to get hold of three nbspfinger gloves. nbspnbspOnce youve done that, finish cleaning the area with sandpaper.nbsp Now youre ready for the p-tex. Hold the lighter under one end of the P-tex stick until it starts burning by itself. nbspnbspOnce alight drip the liquid into the required area overfilling slightly, then let your board sit and cool.nbsp nbspTo finish, remove the excess P-tex with the scraper and maybe a little sandpaper.Check back next week for another instalmentnbsp

Brand new from northwave this year the T-Track snowboard boots. check out our reviewWhen I first saw these boots as a pre-production sample at ISPO massive snowboard trade show in Germany I knew we had to stock them. It was obvious that customers with deep pockets would want a pair of these boots the moment they clapped eyes on them - I know I did As with any new idea, we were nervous about ordering too many, in-case they did not sell. Well, our stock has now arrived and they are totally awesome. As I type this report I have one on my left foot and a Northwave Decade my previous favourite boots on the right foot. As much as I love the Decades my boots of choice for the past 3 seasons I am definitely switching to the T-Track this year. The Decades are comfy as hell but in comparison, despite being a significantly stiffer boot, the T track like wearing a pair of slippers. Absolutely no pressure points or tight spots anywhere. I always loosen my boots at lunch time and as soon as I have finished riding but I can see there will be no

How to choose a snowboard part 2Freestyle Snowboards or Technical Riding JibbingFreestyle snowboards like the Flow QUANTUM , Burton BLUNT PRIMO or Palmer BURN are popular among the younger snowboarders because of it similarity to skateboarding. The freestyle attitude comes straight from the skate park with tricks comprised of jumps, spins, grabs, jibbing, rail sliding, riding backwards and generally tearing it up.Freestyle riding usually found in the snowpark section of the mountain, or near the halfpipe. Many of todays technical freestyle riders come to snowboarding with experience as a skateboarder. While the snowboards specific to this type of rider excels in park and pipe riding, it can also be very versatile across the whole mountain at less than full-speed.Remember to always wear your Ski Helmet and Body Armour when in the park or on the pipe, the snow here less forgiving if you miss your landing.Freestyle Board Characteristics Freestyle Snowboards have soft flex characteristics which makes them a good choice for beginners, especially if you anticipate doing a fair amount of freestyle riding once you get more experienced. The downside that they have limited edge

How to choose a Snowboard Part 1Buying the right Snowboard. for you requires a few important questions to be answered, but youll be amazed to know that you already have the answers. Your weight, height, foot size and riding style are the main factors that will define the appropriate stiffness, height, width and shape of the board youll buy.
